My Christmas card letter...open to all.

Our first snow is descending gently as I write this. Season’s Greetings and peace to all. I usually send this annual letter with my Christmas cards, but this year, I thought I’d post it on-line and share my personal stories with my readers too.

First of all, my husband and daughter are doing well. They’re still employed in the same jobs. My daughter was even promoted to Art Director. My husband’s just grateful that he didn’t have to go to India this year. Whew!

I’ve had a banner year. Our annual winter vacation last January took us to the Bahamas. I fell in love with the laid-back island life. It seems SO long ago--more than just a year. This year, we’re headed to Fort Lauderdale, FL and we’re planning to meet one of my best Aussie friends--for the first time!

My first paperback came out in print last January too. February and March were pretty much the months I shivered through, dying for spring to arrive. At the end of March I attended the annual New England Chapter conference in Natick, MA. I also presented a workshop on e-publishing. People told me it was informative and helpful, and that I didn’t sound as nervous as I felt.

In May I was elected chapter president. It’s already proving to be an interesting job, offering me plenty of valuable experience. This means that I’ll be “the host” of our chapter conference next March. I hope I don’t sound nervous or get the hiccups. I’ll be standing in front of a couple hundred people, trying not to trip over my words.

In July my wonderful hubby and I went to the Romance Writers of America convention in San Francisco. Can you imagine being one of the few guys in a crowd of two thousand? He didn’t attend the conference, though. Just kept me company at breakfast and dinners and attended one party with me. He kept himself occupied by sightseeing while I went to workshops. We spent a week there, which meant I had 3 days free to explore. It was a fantastic area! I saw Chinatown, Fisherman’s Warf, the Golden Gate bridge and beyond.

I absolutely loved Muir Woods. Gazing up, up, up at the Redwood trees and taking loads of pictures. We even found one with a hole in the middle and had our pictures taken inside it. (It’s on my blog somewhere.) I also really enjoyed Sausalito, Monterey with their seals, driving up the coast, Napa Valley, and our tour of the Korbel Champagne winery. Yes, they gave us free samples!

This year I saw 4 new books of mine released! A short story about Rapunzel in an anthology of fractured fairy tales will be released Dec. 22nd. I think I’ve finally faced the fact that I’m a writer. It’s not just something I like to do. It’s who I am. If I got paid nothing for it, I’d probably still write. Don’t get me wrong, I want my royalties! If my publishers are reading this, please know that I will still look for my statements and cash my checks when you send them to me. (chuckles)

It’s been a busy year and I may have some very good news in the near future. I’m doing a light urban fantasy romantic comedy…part of a series if all goes well. I can’t give out details until a contract has been signed, but there’s been interest from a mass market publisher and I have a good feeling about it. Oh, and my books have been nominated for some awards! Stay tuned since I'm still in the running.

So, I wish you and yours much happiness and a safe, wonderful, serendipitous new year!

Warm Holiday Hugs,

Ash

Oh My God! Nominated for an Eppie!

I have some exciting news today! My novella Oh My God has been nominated for an Eppie! That’s kind of like the Oscar for ebooks. I’m so stoked! Here’s a tid-bit:

Oh My God

What happens when a Greek God has amnesia--especially Dionysus, the biggest bad boy of Mount Olympus?

The Greek God of wine, women, and party, falls off a balcony and lands on his head during Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Now he has amnesia and has to rely on witnesses to tell him about his life. All he knows is that they call him ‘Big D,’ and he’s a party animal who drinks too much and ought to give up alcohol for Lent.

Mandy and Brandy flashed Dionysus right before he fell and feel partially responsible for his amnesia. They’re nice enough to take him to an AA meeting, and then back to their homes until he recovers his memory. Fortunately, they’re not too nice to be naughty. They all agree that replacing a bad habit with a healthy one is the key to sobriety, and what could be healthier than sex? Will he come between friends before they know who he is? Will Zeus separate all of them, forever?

Chapter One

“Hello, everyone. I can’t remember my name, but I think I’m an alcoholic.”

The room fell silent. A few titters began in the back, then the chuckles spread and before I knew it, the whole room was guffawing.

“You came to the right place, Mister!” yelled a listener from the back of the room.

I could feel my cheeks redden. Well, fine, at least they’d match my eyes.

The gorgeous young women who took me to this stupid AA meeting slapped their luscious thighs and laughed out loud with the rest of them. If it weren’t for their sex appeal, I’d have stood up and walked out. How humiliating!

Even under their jeans I was able to picture their creamy skin. The brunette with big brown eyes would have a bikini tan. The other, an auburn redhead with long, spiral curls, would probably be a sunscreen wearer, but I loved fair complexions too. In fact, I enjoyed pretty much everything about women. It’s odd how I know that about myself--but little else since the amnesia.

I elbowed the pretty brunette next to me on my right. “Hey, I came here to get help and everybody’s laughing at me.”

The young woman, Brandy she said her name was, patted me on the knee and said with a southern drawl, “It’s all right honey. We understand. We’re laughin’ with you.”
“But I’m not laughing.”

“Well you should, darlin’. When you’re feelin’ better, you’ll be tellin’ your story to the world, and you’ll be laughin’ too.”

The meeting resumed, but I was too hung-over to listen to what was being said. Yet, despite the pounding headache and roiling stomach, I was able to concentrate on Brandy and Mandy’s thighs. Mandy was the redhead and she was the quiet one. Like a swan though, she had all kinds of energy underneath the surface. I sensed a passionate nature in both of them.

Brandy was a toucher. I loved touchers. Every chance she got she puts a hand on my arm or my leg. Now if I can just get her to zero in on the space between them. My jeans grew tighter as I imagined it.

Mandy wagged her top leg continuously, and I could barely keep my eyes off her shapely ankle that was graced by a rhinestone anklet. The afternoon light refracted and glittered as if fairy dust had been sprinkled all around. Her T-shirt spoke volumes in glitzy rhinestones too. They spelled out: ‘Half Naughty Half Nice. Which half do you want?’ over her ample breasts.

70 Days of Sweat!

Today, Nov. 11th, I'm beginning the 70 days of Sweat challenge. I found out about it on Lauren Dane's blog. For 70 days, one must write at least 1,000 words per day. I'll continue to post my progress in the comments section of this blog post.

Today I'm off to a good start! I've written 1,300+ words already! And I could keep going. The ideas are flowing fast and furious!

Wish me luck if you like. I know the 137 people who've signed up to do this with me will send encouragement to each other, so if you're busy--no sweat. LOL. See
http://70daysofsweat.com/wordpress/ for all the authors particpating and our progress reports each Weds. and Sun.

More contest goodies!

I can't help it. I love to play Santa. I just read recently that it's been proven that shopping and gifts makes people happy. However shopping for others and giving gifts rather than receiving them makes people happy longer!

I believe it. There's nothing like a good shopping day with a few extra dollars in my wallet...especially in this economy! Yet, I don't need much of anything. So what do I do? I shop for you! For contest prizes! Good prizes. Something I, myself, would love to win.

And I consider bargain hunting to be a sport. Seiously! I probably have the same thrill of the hunt when I find some of these "steals" as a hunter feels when he bags an especially large... Ugh. Let's not talk of stealing or killing. Let's talk in fishing terms! I used to love to fish--haven't been for years and I miss it. Will have to go again soon. ANYWAY The catch of the day...yes. Yesterday's catch included these wonderful items!

1) A warm, sofisticated, black and gray scarf with your name written all over it! Well, if your name is Gucci, that is!

2) A pair of tortoise shell "Dolce and Gabbana" sunglasses.

3) A "Dior" shoulder bag. (strap inside)

and 4) A "100% cashmere" scarf made in Scotland.

And from a previous shopping trip I returned with other goodies to give away soon.
No pictires of those yet, though. A black "Prada" purse, A cherry "Louis Vuitton" wallet, and a few other little things.

So, I'll need to hold some contests soon! Especially since I have winter items...The scarves and bags will need to go first. I can hang onto the "Fendi" umbrella for spring. Oops! I wasn't supposed to say anything about that. Saving that surprise for another day.

The reason I'm putting these names in quote is that I'm never sure if these are real or knock offs. I get them at an upscale flea market. They sure look real, though!

Contest Winner!

My latest contest winner for the Coach bag is Christy Hawkes! The contest was to send a friend to my website, then have them email me with feedback. Christy sent her friend Lee. Lee will also receive a surprise gift for participating.

It just goes to show, you never know when good things will come your way. (Big grin)

Group booksiging. What fun!

We had a blast this weekend despite the rain.

Annie's Books in Lowell MA on Sat and Annie's Book Stop in Salem NH on Sunday. Plus on Sunday we were also joined by Sierra Dafoe and Dalton Diaz just showing up to support us!

Arianna Hart said it best; Put a bunch of authors in a box of rocks and a good time will be had by all."

Picture: Ash and Sierra talking at each other so fast, poor Kate Hill can't get a word in edgewise!

A whole new way to attend a writer's conference

Greetings!

This week I'm attending a writer's tele-summit. Yes, a conference over the telephone! Very cool. Yesterday was the first of four days. I listened to an editor give her talk, putting her on speaker phone while I made a Mirage necklace with Swarovski crystals and Chech pearls. (I'll show it on my jewelry blog after it's finished.)

At the end, I was able to ask questions. The editor mentioned that she had an author who managed to get himself as the #1 best seller on Amazon for a week. For a small press author that's not an easy accomplishment! I asked her how he did that. She said he increased the size of his emailing list by "buying" names.

I doubt I can do that since I write erotic romance and one never knows who one might offend! LOL. So, I'll simply ask you all...if you haven't signed up for my e-mailing list yet, please do! I'm about to pop asnother one in the email when my books come out this month.

Ash *who holds special contests JUST for her newsletter subscribers to thank them!

Shame on me!

I haven't blogged in...well, too long. I've been in such a whirlwind, getting ready to announce to the world TWO releases in September, I haven't had time to do much of anything else. My publicist is helping as much as she can, but that doesn't mean I'm going to relax until sometime in October.

I've even had friends e-mail me to ask if I'm okay! Oh, dear. I didn't realize I was giving off whirling-dervish vibes. But all of this has taught me a couple of things. First, I need to work on balance. If I write during this flurry of promo activity...great! If I don't, I can't get all wound up about it. I'm used to writing every day. But nothing says I must.

The other thing I learned (again) is that I'm right where I'm supposed to be. I love my editor and I love not having deadlines. A friend of mine has a big looming deadline the same week as a book release! Holy smokes! I can't imagine the stress. So, thank you again e-publishing...for waiting until I'm ready with a product I'm proud of, instead of forcing a deadline upon me.

I'm baaaaack!

Just got back from San Francisco last night. You know how there's so much to do as soon you get back from vacation--and you're too exhausted to do it? Well, today I did some writing, took a nap that turned out to be about 3 hours of my life I'll never get back, then asked my husband if he'd rather have food in the frige or a clean house. He said, I can't have both? Yeah, in an alternate universe, maybe. But the man definitely thinks with his stomach and sent me off to shop. I was hoping for a maid to clean while I was gone, but I'll have to hint louder next time.

How was your day, honey?

Charity project

ON THE RUN released June 29
The Wild Rose Press
www.thewildrosepress.com

To celebrate its second anniversary The Wild Rose Press and Editor-in-chief Rhonda Penders wanted a project that would give something back to the community. What could be better for a publisher than a book, and I was honored to be asked to write it. The result is ON THE RUN, a romantic suspense that focuses on domestic violence. The first check from sales of the book will go to the Victim’s Advocacy Office of the San Antonio Police Department, chosen because the most of the story takes place in San Antonio. You can help contribute to this fund by purchasing a copy of this book and passing the word along.

Domestic violence should not happen to anybody. Ever. Period. But it does - and when it does, there is help. Maybe you have lived with abuse, maybe it happened just once; maybe you work or live next to someone who is being abused right now. In a 1995-1996 study conducted in the 50 States and the District of Columbia, nearly 25% of women and 7.6% of men were raped and/or physically assaulted by a current or former spouse, cohabiting partner, or dating partner/acquaintance at some time in their lifetime (based on survey of 16,000 participants, equally male and female). Approximately 1.3 million women and 835,000 men are physically assaulted by an intimate partner annually in the United States. In 2000, 1,247 women and 440 men were killed by an intimate partner. In recent years, an intimate partner killed approximately 33% of female murder victims and 4% of male murder victims. And so to all of these victims, many of whose story will never be told, I dedicate this book.

ON THE RUN

When Robin Fletcher saw her sister brutally murdered by her wealthy, abusive husband, she grabbed her five-year-old nephew and ran. Months late, living in Memphis with new names and a new life, their sense of security is shattered. First Andy is diagnosed with aplastic anemia. Then fate sends them directly into the path of the killer. Can Andy’s doctor who’s captured her heart protect her or will she again have to go ON THE RUN?

Excerpt:
Taking the highway into Oregon might have been easier on her, but she was sure that was the first route C.D. would check. Instead, she cut east immediately into Idaho. Besides, evading C.D., she had a specific reason for coming this way. Tomorrow they’d get to Helena, where she had important business to take care of. Things that would help keep her and Bobby safe. Robin had only a vague idea of how long they’d been driving but it felt as if she’d been doing it forever. Her eyes were gritty from lack of sleep and her muscles rigid with tension. It didn’t help that she was constantly watching for some ca to run her off the road or but her off. She’d been lucky enough to find a couple of drive-through’s where she fueled up with coffee. Caffeine raced through her system like a wild horse, revving her up and making her edgy. She slid a glance at Bobby, wrapped in a blanket and buckled into his car seat. What a lucky thing he was sleeping so heavily. Still, she knew they needed to find a bed pretty soon. And food. Starvation wouldn’t be a pretty way to die. By the time they reached Kellogg, Idaho, she was more than ready to stop. She pulled gratefully into a motel whose sign blinked ‘Vacancy’ in big red letters. It was the most welcoming site Robin had seen in a long time. Nervously she left Bobby in the car while she registered, keeping one eye on the parking lot, terrified that any moment she’d hear the screeching of brakes and C.D. would leap out of his car. At last they were in their room at the back of the motel, well hidden from the street. She toted in her duffel bag and laptop, then tucked the little boy into bed. After that she treated herself to a shower. Tired as she was, she still needed to wash away the strain of driving nearly three hundred miles at night. All she wanted was to wash the fatigue from her muscles before she climbed into bed. But as the hot spray beat down on her physically and emotionally exhausted body, her control disintegrated and tears began to cascade down her cheeks. She was thankful that the drumming of the water against the tiles drowned out the huge gulping sobs that wracked her body, so Bobby couldn’t hear. She cried as she had never cried before in her life, tears of despair and grief. And self-condemnation, that she hadn’t been able to do anything to save her sister. She didn’t think that particular guilt would ever leave her. Jamie! Oh, Jamie! How did I let this happen to you? The water ran cold before the last shudder died from her body. She drew in a long breath and blew it out slowly. Her heart ached unbearably, but she had a responsibility now. A mission, and she would not fail, no matter what. Keep Bobby safe and away from C.D. Create a whole new life for the two of them. This would be her tribute to her sister.

R rated Excerpt from Death by Delilah

Happy Cinco de Mayo, everyone! Have a Corona with lime for me. It's no longer on my diet. *pout*

Anyway, here's a treat to heat up your holiday!

Josh stepped into the back seat, scooted across and patted the empty spot beside him. Delilah slid in next to him and shut the door. He faced her squarely and looked her in the eyes.

“There’s something I want to say.”

She smiled and shrugged. “Say it.”

Josh gently placed his hand behind her head. The other one he wrapped around her waist. Leaning in and drawing her to him at the same time, he kissed her. She tipped her head and pressed against his mouth harder, opening to him.

Their tongues met and swirled together slowly, dancing. She tasted the slight tang of beer and salt but also something sweeter. Something that must have been pure Joshua Sparks.

Delilah knew they shouldn’t be doing this but a big part of her didn’t care.
Josh stopped suddenly. “I’m sorry.”

She tried to cover her crushing disappointment. “Why? Are you afraid that an officer kissing an enlistee might be construed as ‘fraternizing’?”

Josh laughed. “I’m sure it is but no. I was operating under the assumption that ‘it’s better to do what you want and beg forgiveness than to ask permission and be told, ‘no’.”

“Ah, I see.” Delilah traced the shape of his lips with her finger. “And what if I said that I wouldn’t forgive you?”

“I’d…”

She put a finger over his lips and whispered, “Shhh. I wasn’t finished.”

“Oh. What were you going to say?”

“What if I said I wouldn’t forgive you—if you stopped what you were doing?”

Josh pulled her into his strong grasp and kissed her soundly. Delilah felt the heat building between them and answered his passion by meshing her body to his. Their mouths stayed fused together as he lowered her and pulled her bottom toward him until she was supine. His hand found her breast and moved over the slinky material of her dress. She moaned around his mouth as his finger circled her erect nipple. Damn, I’ll kill him if he stops now.

I'm dazed, confused and grateful!

I have someone to take over the daunting job of promoting myself! She seems like someone who will take care of doing many of the things I used to have to do myself, which took up valuable writing time! Things like running contests, posting excerpts and managing newsletters! How wonderful is she?

Soon you'll see things about me and my books coming to you from Phoenix Promotions. (Thank you, Goddess Phoenix!)

If you've been wondering about my latest contest...well, so am I! I notified a winner for the designer inspired bag and waited a week. She never got back to me. So, I selected another name randomly from my e-mailing list and haven't heard back from her yet, either! If I give her a week and still no response, I'll be picking another name. So, if you're on my e-mailing list, you're still in the game.

It's My Big, Big, Big, Big Day!

I have a new release at Ellora's Cave today!!! It's another one of my "sparkling, impish" romantica comedies. (My crit partner's words for my style.) :-D
And I won't be here when it hits the virtual book store shelves since I'm on my way to the New England romance writer's conference. There I'll be giving a talk on epublishing and signing my paperback, Heaving Bosoms! Send good vibes my way!!!

Death by Delilah

Ashlyn Chase

Delilah Mills, a navy enlistee, is on the verge of finding true love. All she needs is a little push or so her grandmother believes. The elder Delilah can’t resist the urge to meddle with her namesake—even if she’s a ghost and her influence is limited.

Joshua Sparks, a naval officer attracted to Delilah since their teens, discovers the crush has been mutual all these years. Back then, he let her mixed race and his parents stop him. Now, the Navy says they can't date. One night they throw caution to the winds and not only can't undo what they did, but don't want to.

Can two Navy lovers, equal in resolve but not in rank, secretly live together off base, without discovery getting one of them transferred to the Middle East?

Publisher Note: A shorter version of this book was previously published elsewhere under the same title.

PG-13 Excerpt

Delilah wriggled in her chair. “I was never as good in social situations as Gabby,” she said.

“Really? I thought you seemed perfectly comfortable until that guy bothered you.”

“I was. I mean, I am. I’m comfortable around you and Gabby. People I know.”

Josh sat up and scrutinized her. What did she have to be self-conscious about? Then he glanced at his sister being hoisted up onto the bar and shook his head. “I don’t think many of us are as ‘social’ as my sister is.”

Delilah laughed. “There’s an understatement.”

Gabby did her best to put on a show that rivaled The Coyote Uglies. The patrons as well as the bartender encouraged her, so she plucked her drink off the bar and continued to dance. When she emptied her glass in one gulp, the bartender handed her the vodka bottle. There was only an inch or so left at the bottom but Josh was becoming concerned.

“I’m going to get her down before she falls down.”

“Good idea.”

He stood and sauntered over to the bar.

Gabby pointed straight at him. “I see you coming, Joshua but I’m not getting down. I’m having a good time and I’m not leaving.”

Josh held his hands up and backed away. “Suit yourself little sister. I just don’t want to see you break your neck before you start your new job.”

She stopped dancing, rolled her eyes but slowly climbed down assisted by two of the guys buying her drinks. As he could have predicted, they bought her another one.

Josh returned to Delilah and asked her to dance. He was surprised when the music turned to a slow song almost as soon as they reached the dance floor. He decided to quit fighting it, slipped an arm around her waist and pulled her close. She put up no resistance. In fact she seemed to meld to his body. Her heat filled him and ignited his inner fire. If he held her as close as he wanted to his swelling arousal would be up against her belly and he’d let her know what she did to him.

It must have been the beers. A voice inside was warning him to be careful but that voice was getting weaker and the demands of his body were getting louder.

He nuzzled her neck and inhaled her perfume. She smelled like fresh flowers in the rain. He preferred her light scent to some of the overpowering fragrances women wore. She snuggled closer and her breasts rose against his chest. Damn. I’m either going to have to sit down or give up the fight. I want too much from her. He wanted it now and he wanted it badly.

The war in his head raged a few seconds before his instinct won. His fingers caressed her back in light strokes and he heard her sigh. He wished he could cup the curve of her luscious ass but this wasn’t the time or place. He’d just have to be content holding her in his arms and touching her in safe zones, for now. Maybe someday he’d know the feel of all her erogenous places and taste her salty skin. His erection hardened like cement as he pictured it.

Josh wished the dance could last all night but as soon as they pulled their bodies apart, he got the next best thing. Another slow one. She smiled as if she knew what he was thinking and he hauled her back into his warm embrace.

“I thought I’d find you back here.”

“Martin, you didn’t honestly think I was going to stay at that seminar, did you?”

“Sure I did. It was very enlightening, I thought.”

“You misrepresented it completely. You said it was about how to communicate with the living. I thought I was going to get some insight into whispering thoughts or moving objects or something.”

“No, I didn’t. I just said it was about communicating with the living and it was.”

“But you didn’t say it was all about why not to!”

“How did I know what they were going to say?”

“Oh, pooh. You wouldn’t have suggested it if you thought it would help me talk my namesake into anything.”

“Oh for crissakes, I’m not the enemy, Delilah. I’m trying to help.”

“I know. You’re my ever lovin’ man.”

“Speaking of which, do you want to have sex?”

“You’re kidding, right?”

“Nope. I looked at the schedule. There’s a seminar about mind-blowing out-of-body sex. In fact, it’s about to start.”

“Martin if this is another one of your tricks…”

“It isn’t. I swear. Frankly, I miss having sex, don’t you?”

“Well, of course I do. Mind-blowing, huh?”

“Yup.”

“Let’s go.”

I was asked to post this promo with all the links

Quivering Thighs
Standalone sequel to Heaving Bosoms.

Kendra Dempsey took her gangster boyfriend's money and ran. The problem is, it was supposed to be split three ways. Going back to Las Vegas is out of the question, so she goes after the fresh start she needs. Indulging her fantasy of living in paradise, escaping the mob and having a career that utilizes her drawing talent, she moves to Hawaii and apprentices as a tattoo artist. Since all the mobsters are in prison now, she can finally relax, right?

Jake Jensen is a cop assigned to work his first undercover assignment at a suspected chop shop, Bump and Grind Auto Body, but he doesn't look the part. The quickest thing he can do to roughen his clean-cut edges is to let his hair grow and get some cool tattoos. When the dyslexic tattoo apprentice makes a mistake in the lettering, will he be a laughing stock? Should he blow his cover and help her when she's in more danger than he is?

An excerpt of Quivering Thighs and buy link. http://www.ellorascave.com/productpage.asp?ISBN=9781419914539

Why I wrote this sequel: Well, after readers raved about Heaving Bosoms in ebook format, they began asking (or demanding *Ash laughs) to know what happened to Kendra and all that money! That'll teach me to leave a question unanswered. (*Ash chuckles)

Because Kendra and Jake were much edgier characters and the story demanded far more sex scenes of the erotic variety, the sequel came from Ellora's Cave.

*

Heaving Bosoms was released by Cerridwen Press. It contains explicit sex scenes too but with a little less intensity: For the ebook go here: http://www.cerridwenpress.com/productpage.asp?ISBN=9781419907982

Yes, you can read Heaving Bosoms on your Kindle or any ebook reader.
To order the paperback book, ask you local bookstore or see one of these URLs.

New Contract!

Hey everyone,

Sometimes our displaced babies wind up in nice new homes. It happened recently with one of my Venus Press stories. Four of us that wrote for the same line got together, rewrote our stories and made an anthology based on the Greek Gods. It's called Sons of Zeus and a British publisher, Total Ebound, picked it up for both ebook and print. Release date will be September 2008!

My story was originally called Show Me the Bling and was nominated for a CAPA award. I retitled it Oh My God. Here's the blurb:

This just in!

And this just in! My first review for Quivering Thighs (sequel to Heaving Bosoms)

"This sequel to Heaving Bosoms stands alone, but I guess it would be even more fun if you read the earlier book. Kendra's doberman Brando is a worthy addition. The author gives us a great cast of supporting characters...And there's some real nail-biting tension, along with a laugh or two. Kendra's Vegas past and spelling problems are truly unique, making this an enjoyable read."

*Also important news: Wonder Witch is in the finals for the terrific Fantasm award!!! Judges picked the 3 finalists in my category (Best Overall Paranormal Romance) and like American Idol, it's up to the readers’ votes from Feb 1st on. So now I must shamelessly ask for votes. Forgive me, but I REALLY want Wonder Witch to win this award for speculative fiction!

Thanks! Hope to see you in cyberspace!
Ash
